Eld. Markus S. McCoy was born in Logan, West Virginia, and is currently a resident of Huntington, WV. He is the son of Katherine McCoy and the oldest of three children. It was ordained before the foundation of the world that Markus spread the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ.  In the early stages of his life, Eld. McCoy began attending the Original Glorious Church of God In Christ of the Apostolic Faith, under the pastorate of Evangelist Rocine Jackson. He faithfully attended the church with his grandmother, Mother Willie C. McCoy.

                Markus was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost and began living a holy life before the Lord. He began to learn how to live as a Saint of the Most High God. Eld. McCoy then began serving faithfully in various activities in the church such as a member of the Zion Gospelaires, Usher Board, Sunday School Secretary, Y.P.W.W Assistant Secretary, Sunday School Teacher, Praise & Worship Leader, and whatever capacity he was needed in. On July 17, 1994, Markus received and answered the call from Lord to preach the Word of God. At that time it was confirmed that God had a great calling upon his life. Eld. McCoy then moved to Huntington, WV, where he began attending the Glorious Church of God In Christ, under the pastorate of Evangelist Martha Johnson. He currently serves there as a Praise & Worship Leader, Sunday School Assistant Superintendent, Y.P.U.W. Secretary, Bible Class Teacher, and an Associate Minister,. He is a ordained Elder in the Glorious Churches of God in Christ Inc., under the bishopric of Presiding Bishop; Bishop Perry Lindsay Sr.

              Eld. McCoy feels a calling to reach out to reach to a lost and dying world so that we might carry out the Great Commission as commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ. He feels a strong burden to work in the evangelistic field as to compel men, women, boys, and girls to come unto the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.  He believes that the Saints of the Most High God must reach the lost at any cost!! On May 14, 2005, Elder McCoy was united in Holy Matrimony to Sis. Natasha L. Harper. They currently reside in Huntington, WV.
